Ozone Therapy

Ozone therapy is a modern treatment method that uses medical ozone – a gas obtained from oxygen, with powerful antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory properties and the ability to stimulate regeneration processes. It is a safe, effective, and minimally invasive therapy, used in various fields of medicine and aesthetics.

The main effects of ozone on the body are:

Ozone therapy is applied through several methods: local injections, insufflations, ozonated water, ozonated oils, or direct exposure of tissues to the gas.

Doctor White Clinic, the first in Moldova, offers

Ozone therapy in dentistry with HYPER MEDAZON COMFORT

Doctor White Clinic also offers Major Ozone Autohemotherapy HYPER MEDAZON COMFORT

This is a modern ozone therapy procedure, performed using the HYPER MEDAZON COMFORT medical device, designed according to German standards of precision and safety. This method is based on treating a quantity of the patient’s own blood with a controlled oxygen-ozone mixture, which is then reinfused into the body.

How the procedure works

The entire procedure takes approximately 30–40 minutes, is painless, and is well tolerated by most patients. The number of sessions is determined individually, depending on the purpose of the therapy. Usually, 5–10 sessions are recommended, with a frequency of 2–3 times per week.

Why the HYPER MEDAZON COMFORT device is special

  • Automatic control and dosing precision: precisely regulates the concentration and volume of the oxygen-ozone mixture.
  • Advanced safety system: prevents contamination, air contact and blood loss.
  • Ergonomic and quiet design: provides comfort for both patient and doctor.
  • Certified German technology: guarantees the efficiency and stability of ozone concentrations throughout the entire procedure.

Effects experienced by patients

Many patients describe a state of energy, mental clarity, and relaxation after the procedure.
In the medium term, the therapy contributes to:

  • improving cellular oxygenation,
  • stimulating the immune system,
  • reducing inflammation,
  • supporting detoxification and metabolism,
  • increasing tone and energy levels.

Contraindications

  • Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (G6PD deficiency)
In the absence of this enzyme, red blood cells (erythrocytes) cannot withstand oxidative stress, and hemolysis is possible
  • Hemophilia and other coagulopathies
There is a risk of bleeding during intravenous procedures and injection methods
  • Severe anemia (Hb < 70 g/l)
Lack of oxygen carriers makes the therapy ineffective and dangerous
  • Thyrotoxicosis
Ozone activates metabolism, which can worsen hyperthyroidism
  • Acute myocardial infarction and stroke (within the first 24–48 hours)
Hemodynamic instability is possible during the acute period
  • Seizure disorders, epilepsy
    Ozone can increase neuronal excitability
  • Alcohol intoxication
Ozone intensifies the toxic action of ethanol and its metabolic products
  • Individual intolerance to ozone (extremely rare)
May manifest as headache, nausea, and weakness

Relative contraindications

  • Hypotension (BP < 90/60 mmHg)
Ozone may further lower blood pressure.
  • Hypoglycemia, insulin-dependent diabetes with unstable blood sugar levels
Blood glucose monitoring is required before and after the procedure.
  • Pregnancy (first trimester)
There is insufficient safety data, especially for systemic methods.
  • Severe heart failure (functional classes III–IV)
Fluctuations in vascular tone are possible.
  • Acute infectious diseases with high fever
It is better to wait until the temperature normalizes before the procedure.
  • Menstruation (for intravenous and invasive methods)
    Increases the risk of bleeding.
  • Pain hypersensitivity, panic disorders
Ozone may cause a temporary burning sensation or feeling of fear during the injection.

Special notes

  • In autoimmune diseases (including autoimmune thyroiditis – AIT), ozone therapy is not contraindicated, but is performed gently — at low concentrations and according to regulation protocols.
  • In oncopathology the use of local methods (ozonated oils, water, local applications) is permitted for healing and pain relief, however systemic procedures are only performed after consultation with an oncologist.
