Teeth whitening with Philips ZOOM

With Philips Zoom in-office whitening, you can get a smile up to 6-8 shades whiter. You get amazing results with minimal or no sensitivity.

What is Philips ZOOM?

Philips Zoom is a professional teeth whitening system, globally recognized for its effectiveness. The procedure utilizes a revolutionary patented, certified, tooth-safe,  whitening gel activated by a special LED/LASER light. This process removes deep stains and significantly improves tooth color in a single session. It is a harmless and discomfort-free procedure.

How long does the Philips ZOOM teeth whitening procedure take?

The tooth whitening procedure itself lasts 45-60 minutes, with repeated applications of the gel on the teeth and exposure of the teeth to the ZOOM lamp in 3-4 sessions of 15 minutes. The procedure starts with protecting all soft tissues (tongue, gums, cheeks) from UV exposure. Then the whitening gel is applied to the teeth and special light is placed over them to activate and enhance the whitening intensity. Thus the whole procedure can take 2-2.5 hours.

Philips ZOOM teeth whitening results

Immediately after the whitening process, your teeth may be sensitive, which is why soothing gels are recommended to be applied to your teeth. However, this sensitivity disappears within 12-24 hours after whitening. The good thing is that the results are immediately visible, teeth become 6-8 shades whiter and will stay that way for up to 3 years (if you take care of your teeth as recommended by your dentist).

Recommendations after tooth whitening with the ZOOM!

During the first three to five days after ZOOM whitening, you should avoid eating colored foods or drinking strong dark drinks (red wine, coffee, carbonated drinks) as there is a risk of staining your teeth. After this period, you are out of the “danger zone”, so you can go back to your daily routine.

Contraindications

Specialists do not recommend whitening for pregnant women, breastfeeding women, patients undergoing medication for serious illnesses, children under 16 years of age, and people with tooth decay and receding gums. Our recommendation is to seek the advice of your dentist in all situations, who will make the decision after a thorough examination.
